Welcome to Stemity. Our mission is to make the world a better place, one contest at a time. We are a website founded with a simple goal of raising money for charity in order to help those in need. At the same time, we provide kids and adults a fun opportunity to test their knowledge and win prizes from the safety of their homes by participating in online STEM contests. Learn more about our vision, motivation, and the folks behind the initiative below.

Shruti
CEO & Content Lead, Co-founder

Hi everyone! I'm Shruti, currently a tenth grader at Redmond High School in Washington. Below, I've explained the motivation and goals of Stemity and how we plan on achieving them through STEM competitions.

I came up with the idea during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, when schools were shut down across the US starting in March. The period from March to May is usually most active with regional and state competitions in various categories, all of which got canceled or postponed. I was disappointed that a lot of contests I was passionate about were canceled. I felt even worse knowing what several people across the world were going through during the pandemic. With my family's support and help, I decided to create a series of STEM-based online competitions that would interest and motivate kids and adults while staying safe at home. More importantly, the proceeds will be donated to charity.

While the site was founded as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we plan to continue hosting contests on a regular basis while supporting different charities.

Thanks for considering Stemity and remember to stay safe!

~ Shruti

Hello! My name is Advait and I am a sixth grader at Redmond Middle School. I enjoy math, science, and table tennis. While at home social distancing, I have enjoyed contributing to Stemity by testing the website and reporting issues that I find. I also developed Stemity's math contests. Enjoy the contests!
